The knobs

Colour, then clip.

A two-stage saturator with tilt and a lookahead clipper. The meters tell you when it is working.

Tone
−100 to +100. Dark weight or lifted top, before the drive gets greedy.
Drive
How hard the core works. Warmth at the left, attitude at the right.
Clip
Lookahead clip. Transients stay in the box; clip flash tells you when they don’t.
Mix
Parallel colour. Keep the dry punch, add the harmonic.

Gain + quality

Input, Output, Auto Gain.

True peak, RMS, correlation, and drive amount — so you mix the heat, not the loudness trick.

Input / Output
±24 dB. Stage in, stage out. Silver knobs, same job as on Comp.
Auto Gain
On by default. Compare drive without the “louder is better” lie.
Quality
Auto, 2×, 4×, 8× oversampling. Spend CPU where the source needs it.
MIDI learn
Input, Drive, Tone, Clip, Output, Mix.
