The knobs

Density to Humanize.

These five controls are the writing session. Sparse to busy, stiff to alive — without leaving the grid.

Density: How many notes land. Open it up for air. Push it when the part needs to move.
Variation: Phrase movement from bar to bar. Lock it when you like the shape and want to keep exploring around it.
Velocity: How hard the part hits. Soft stabs or a part that sits up in the mix.
Micro-Time: Swing and pocket. Lock it to hold the groove while you change everything else.
Humanize: Timing and velocity that feel played, not quantized. Groove-safe when you want the grid to stay honest.

Musical context

Genre: Auto plus twelve profiles with major and minor progression banks — Pop, and the rest of the room.
Section: Verse, Chorus, Drop, Break. Same key, different job.
Preset: Starting points like Warm Stabs, then your own Custom.
